SMS and WhatsApp messaging policy

Soba, a product of Project Peach Inc. ("Soba", "we"), sends and receives text messages (SMS) and WhatsApp messages as part of an order-taking service for produce sellers (our "customers"). This page explains who gets messages from us, how they agree to it, and how to stop.

Who receives messages

• Buyers who contact a customer's sales line by phone or text. During the call or text conversation, Soba asks whether it may call or text the buyer back about their request. Messages to buyers are limited to the buyer's own order: a callback, a written confirmation of what was agreed, or an answer to their request.
• Sales reps at our customers, who opt in once on WhatsApp to receive order requests, confirmations and a morning summary. A rep is added by their own company and confirms the opt-in on their phone before anything else is sent.

How people opt in

• Buyers opt in verbally on the call or by replying on the text line. Soba records the consent with the time and the request it relates to.
• Reps opt in by replying to a one-time WhatsApp message sent at their company's request.
• We never buy lists, and we never message anyone who hasn't contacted a customer's line or been added by their own company.

What messages look like

Every message names the customer on whose behalf it is sent. Example of a confirmation to a buyer:

"Del Campo Supreme: confirmed 300 cases 4x4 vine-ripes at $8.50, pickup Mon. Ref 1047. Your order will be entered in our system this morning. Reply here to change. Reply STOP to opt out."

Message frequency varies with your orders. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt out or get help

• Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from that line. You'll get one confirmation and nothing else.
• Reply HELP for help, or email hello@usesoba.com.
• On WhatsApp, reply STOP or block the number.

Opt-outs are honored immediately and in all cases within ten business days, as required by FCC rules.
